"Soul Promise" is adapted from the comic book of the same name as the novel "Soul Promise", which tells a love story across three lives that transcends age and identity.
Starring Wang Zhiqian and Fan Qizhi, who have already been recognized as a CP by many fans in Hong Kong, this is their first time to challenge the BL drama of soul exchange and rebirth. They play the role of a 69-year-old man whose soul travels through time to his 20-year-old grandson and they develop a fateful and touching relationship with their roommate. YY Qiu Shengyang from "Atomic Boy" is also arranged to join the emotional entanglement between the two.
The drama presents various aspects of love, inviting new generation talent show stars Li Ding and Hong Wei from "Atomic Boys 2" to form a CP, allowing the good relationship between the two talent show comrades to continue; it also adds the GL story line, performed by Liao Yiqun and Mariko Okubo who have known each other for more than ten years. The younger brothers feel very emotional and look forward to it when they see the two of them.

At the age of 60, Grandpa Xia Cha moved from Hong Kong to Taiwan with his grandson, Ze Fang. Hai Yuan, 12, moved back to Taiwan with his mother.
